Trenton J. Betts grew up moving — Augusta to Maryland to Brooklyn to the Rockaways to Columbus, Georgia to Syracuse. Army brat turned Army officer. Every move taught the same lesson: adapt, build where you are, and leave it better than you found it.
He commissioned as an Infantry officer through Army ROTC at The City College of New York in 2019 and spent six years leading soldiers in some of the Army's most demanding environments. Platoon Leader. Executive Officer. Company Commander. Battalion Operations Officer for 2-54 Infantry at Fort Benning, where he oversaw planning and coordination for the Army's Infantry One Station Unit Training mission. After completing his Infantry service, he transitioned to the Finance Corps — a deliberate move to master the systems and resources that drive the mission from the inside.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from the College of Staten Island, dual MBAs and MPAs from Syracuse University's Defense Comptrollership Program, and earned his Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) credential in 2026 — a professional certification recognized across the Department of Defense for expertise in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
In August 2025, he founded The REBUILD Group — a mission-driven company built on three pillars: financial literacy, life systems, and service. Through books, digital tools, and community programs, REBUILD turns complex ideas into practical tools that real people can actually use. Five published books and counting. 140 meals served and counting. A nonprofit kitchen on the horizon.
Before any of this, he was a waiter, a bartender, a hotel worker, a pool attendant, and a student at Brooklyn Technical High School — one of the most competitive public high schools in the country. He's been broke, been lost, and been rebuilt. That's not backstory — that's the blueprint.
Today he writes, teaches, cooks, mentors, lifts, gardens, and builds systems for a living. He's the person his friends call to fix something, brainstorm something, vent about something, or keep a secret. He takes that seriously.
His why is simple: why not? Why not help? Why not him?
When he's not building, he's spending time with his son, TJ — his greatest source of joy and the reason the work matters.
REBUILD takes complex topics — money, systems, and service — and turns them into simple, usable tools. Books and guides that teach money, planning, and AI in plain English. Systems and frameworks that help people organize their lives and make decisions. Community programs that turn kindness into real support for people who need it.
